Three Of Pentacles - The Strawberry Moon

The Three of Pentacles, a celebratory card is a well suited draw today with this first Full Strawberry Moon in June of Summer.

Though I'm not one to celebrate Canada Day, I'm grateful to be Canadian, and I'm sure there will be many celebrations on this long weekend ahead.

Every where there have been graduation celebrations, proms and the end of the school year, which for some, is a bitter sweet time, seeing our children spreading their wings, flying the nest, when we just wish they'd slow down..

When the Strawberry Moon arrives, we can look forward to enjoying fresh sweet strawberries as this is where the Strawberry Moon gets it's name. Sometimes called the Hay Moon for the first harvest of hay or referred to as the Rose Moon when the first bloom of roses arrive.

I didn't grow strawberries this year, but first thing this morning I motored to town in my new to me motor car, and purchased a hanging strawberry plant and some other garden delights to adorn my flower garden out in my front door yard.

June is a month of Birthdays and tomorrow I will help celebrate two of my dearest friends Birthdays.

The Strawberry Moon is a time when Indigenous woman spiritually cleanse themselves. It's a great time to get our lives uncluttered.

It's a time to celebrate who we are, reflect on our dreams, happiness and success. So go ahead, celebrate Summer and allow yourself the harvest of those sweet strawberries and reap the rewards of your hard work. There is much to be grateful for and more work ahead to come.

Three of Pentacles - Open Your Heart and Pray For Peace

In light of yesterday's tragedy in Nice France it's impossible to imagine the horror and grief that the citizens of Nice are experiencing. It's left me feeling a deep desire to pray for peace, because it's all I feel that I can do to make any difference in this heart breaking situation. We all need to pray for peace in this world, more now than ever. We only combat hate with love.

The Three of Pentacles is about openness, having the ability to effectively communicate and work together for peace with others in unity. This only comes about in the spirit of love and compassion.

We all have a basic need for recognition, and perhaps we might think we'll be rewarded in some way for a job well done, but we can't necessarily expect it. Individuals don't always get rewarded for good behaviour, and many times they're punished for it, and on the other hand people are often rewarded for bad behaviour. This of course can't be seen as being fair at all, but it is the way the world is, more often than not. This is the reason why people need to work together in collaboration through effective communication that comes with having an open heart and mind.

It all might sound easy enough, but it takes commitment and great effort to achieve peace, love and unity. This commitment and effort when it comes from a empathy and love for others, not out of obligation or through force is the way to understanding in a very troubled world. Pray For Peace.

Three of Pentacles - Creative Collaboration

I did a personal reading for myself covering the next six months. My question concerned what was ahead for me in the 2016. Well I'm not surprised it's all about the Pentacles, representing the material plane, signifying concerns over the physical body, home, and material possessions. It's true, I need to get myself back into shape, and I will be getting some get work done to my house. I also need some serious bucks and a new to me used vehicle, that I really have my eye on, need and want real bad.

The Three of Pentacles I drew today, along with my personal reading indicates collaboration, finding insight, being communicative, and sharing intellectual ideas with another. I have been involved doing just this over the past couple of weeks., and I am about to continue to creatively collaborate with another person on a special kind of project over the next few months or more, which are both very excited and enthusiastic about.

I feel like I've finally found my niche. Just as the Three of Pentacles reflects, the first stages have been completed, and now we are ready for the next phase. There is hard work and difficulty ahead, but it is cause for celebration, and hopefully our efforts will lead to a very rewarding outcome.

Three of Pentacles - I Forgot What I Was Supposed To Remember

I believe human beings have an innate wisdom in their soul, but only need reminding of what they've forgot. This is what the Tarot does in many ways.

I drew this card yesterday. I thought I'd pass on posting it, as I wanted to update my other blog, http://catherinemeyersartist.blogspot.com

So, I was ready to draw another card for today. Guess what? I drew the Three of Pentacles again. A card that was insisting in being in the lime light! No, that's not true. I am anthropomorphizing my cards, I know. Tarot cards do however prod, prompt and sometimes give us a push forward, to remind us stop our worrying, and get actively engaged in life as opposed to being a bystander. Action is always the best antidote to worry.

Drawing the Three of Pentacles the last two days is a reality check, as much as I might not want to be reminded. The message is, that I can't wait for motivation or inspiration. I simply need to start and the rest will follow.

Three of Pentacles - Compentent Professionalism

The Three of Pentacles is always a good reminder to have integrity, not just toward having a work ethic but in all aspects of my life. This card always speaks to me of completion, with the knowledge that there is still work and effort needed, to be put toward the tasks ahead. In other words, it is having a professional standard and attitude. This card also speaks of competency and hitting your stride.

I can't afford to take my successes for granted, and think I can now simply sit on my laurels. I must understand that I can not do whatever I want, whenever I want, without consequence, as this is a fatal flaw in any early success. At the same time I need to be cognizant of my limitations.

In today's world it seems difficult to find those who have a competent professional attitude toward the work they do, living life with integrity and principles. Many are very happy to take your money without completing a job or doing a task that is well done. We cannot however expect others to have professional integrity if we don't expect this from ourselves, and manifest it in our lives.

Three of Pentacles - Professionalism

I am partial to the number three for a number of spiritually related reasons. Threes also make me think of the three Graces or Muses, and indicates an initial completion, the first bit of a project is done, rather like the basic shell of a structure that has been erected, and now energy is put toward the next needed elements to hopefully follow.

It is a rewarding feeling of satisfaction to have the beginning of project started, but there needs to be a full awareness of the hard work ahead. If I have an inability to know my limits, and do not understand  my character, knowing what I can or cannot handle, this is proportional to my success and lasting rewards.

The Three of Pentacles is a very appropriate card drawn for me today upon commencing my most recent art project, a series of 22 paintings, the Major Arcana cards based on the Mythic Tarot. Once I complete the Major Arcana, I want to complete the remaining 56 cards of the Minor Arcana.
The early beginnings for me is probably the most daunting undertaking, because of the combined fear, ambiguity and excitement that comes with the initial approach to an art project. However, I am sure this will come up again with each painting in varying degrees until the project is done in my efforts to make 'good art'. I do make a concerted effort to crowd out of my mind any negative self-talk or self-doubt in my ability to create, and replace this with positive affirming thoughts.
I must remain steadfast, positive, realistic and adhere to my professional development.

Three of Pentacles - Completion

I've drawn Pentacles again today, the Three of Pentacles is spot on, in relation to what I am preoccupied with lately.

Professional development is important and a wonderful thing. but it is necessary to be put into a balanced perspective  regarding personal boundaries, taking care of relationships and personal well being, mind, body and spirit.

This preoccupation ruined Daedalus, as was indicated in yesterday's, Five of Pentacles. Here, in the Three of Pentacles we see him at the beginnings of his career. Unfortunately he eventually lost sight of his own limitations and capacities, because he took on more than he could handle, and lost everything, including his self-value and faith in himself.

Daedalus is seen here in the Three of Pentacles, reaping the rewards for the completion of the first stages of his initial work efforts. This project is not finished, and there will be further hard work ahead, difficulty and risk, which will hopefully lead to a permanent reward. This card indicates celebration for a job well done, although it is essential to have full awareness of the work ahead, both professionally and personally.

I see this card as a simple and straight forward message. For me it is the confirmation to have a mindfulness,  to make a conscious effort, in order to apply some necessary changes that are needed to actualize and bring to completion, future goals and projects.

Three of Pentacles - The Blue Bird of Happiness?

Today I drew The Suit of Pentacles. The gold coin represents the earthly plain, the ancient element of the earth, which is both, our beginning and our end. Pentacles relate to the all things within the material world , be it issues surrounding the physical self, the home, or financial matters.

The Three of Pentacles are being offered to the man at the top of the stairs, by the three men at the foot of the steps. The gold coins indicate a particular task completed, and here is the reward for his labours.

People look up to, and admire this individual as a mentor, and  a good example, who has achieved success in business and is at the pinnacle of a profession, though there is still work ahead. Consideration is needed, for the future, the work to come, the capacity to handle it, all dependent on one's character. This is a stage within the process, that will hopefully lead to more permanent rewards.

Although we certainly need to have our basic needs met, the material world alone, and things are not the Blue Bird of Happiness . These cannot truly bring us a fulfilling life, and we cannot loose site of this fact.
