Knight of Pentacles -The Good Steward

Here is an individual who has a strong curiosity about the natural world, who loves to work and walk the good earth through forest, field and stream. He honours the earth, his home, and he feels a natural bond and kinship with the environment. He believes humans have a moral obligation to be good stewards of the earth. Understanding the interconnection between all living things, this gives him an insightful, steadfast wisdom, and an ability to live his life in a self-sustaining, self-sufficient manner.

He would be your contemporary horse whispering farmer, that has immersed himself in learning about the principles of permaculture or organic farming, while loving all creatures big or small, be they wild or domesticated..

The Knight of Pentacles being a very benevolent soul, loves nothing more than protecting and providing for others, and believes in sharing whatever he has to give, without any expectation in return..

He has a deep sense of loyalty, faithfulness, and persistence to live life with the courage of his convictions, showing kindness toward everyone, which endears him to all who encounter him. This Knight is greatly respected, and loved for everything and all that he does, and for the honourable man that he is.

Nine of Swords - Worry & Action

Well, this card is in keeping with the card I drew yesterday dark about clouds and silver linings.
The Nine of Swords, it is what I would call the worry card, and is very much the card full of deep psychological meaning.

We are losing sleep for worry, anxiety, fear, corrosive guilt, foreboding about the future, and what ever negative adjectives you want to throw in the pot.

This frame of mind robs of us energy and strength in every aspect, mind, body and soul. We can't enjoy the present, because we are projecting into the future, and worrying about the past. It reflects a lack of trust and faith and our inability to let go of what we can't control.

We can't control what has happened in the past, and it may be hanging over our heads. We can  make amends, if we have hurt someone else, including ourselves.

Action is the antidote to worry. Whether it be through prayer, meditation, a vacation, ending a relationship or changing geographical location to make a fresh start. However, can you run away for things in your head? Ultimately we can't take a geographical cure, because where ever we go we bring ourselves along, and still have to face our problems.

What is important is that we remain steadfast.

Knight of Pentacles - Persistance

The love and appreciation of the natural world, taking responsibilities seriously and persistence in finishing what is started , all attributes symbolized by this card.

Pentacles concern our physical selves, and all things connected to the earth; property, work, money and practical matters. Pentacles are also associated with the earth signs of the Zodiac: Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn.

The Knight is both honourable, dependable, loyal, thorough, and ambitious. The Knight is a lover of the countryside, loves all animals and the wild creatures. He/she is humble and realistic in all they do.

To some, this individual may seem dull and boring, lacking in imagination, as there is nothing really heroic or a glamorous about them. This is not so. Being anchored in steadfastness, having a strong sense of responsibility, exhibiting diligence, being gentle and kind, are all desirable and wise leadership skills and virtues to possess, that are an example for all. We have much to learn from this individual.

I have learned three important things in life that anchor me in good times and bad. Knowing there is power in persistence, prayer and in trust.
